<p>People spend a lot of money on the formation of their logo and walk away with no artwork files. Then a couple months down the track when they require to put signage on their new building they cannot track the design studio down that created the original logo for them and so incur costs to have it recreated. This is unnecessary and may cause obstacles when trying to replecate the logo exactly as completed originally.</p>

<p><strong>Tip 1<br /></strong>First things first &#8211; you need to decide if you would like your logo to have an accompanying icon. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The typical question asked when purchasing a new projector for the home, office, or classroom is: should I buy an LCD projector or a DLP projector? LCD, short for ‘liquid crystal device’ and DLP, short for ‘digital light processing’ are the two top projector imaging technologies. With so many business brands and models available, it can be difficult for clients to make a decision between the two technologies. The fact is that LCD projectors provide superior image quality and colour accuracy. The following article will tell you why DLP projectors struggle with bringing up a comparable grade of image quality.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s like a set of blinds in your home for your bedroom window. By a twist of a rod you can have the shutters open or closed, depending on whether you want to let light in or not. And that is exactly how an LCD projector operates. Each pixel functions like a single shutter on a set of blinds to either pass light through or to block it. DLP on the other hand is constructed of millions of microscopic mirrors or ‘pixel elements’ as the experts like to call them. Each pixel element functions to either reflect light or block it.</p>
<p>How the light source is processed from the point at which the projector is switched on to when the image reaches your screen is absolutely important to image quality, brightness and colour accuracy. LCD projectors project white light from the lamp by cutting it into red, blue and green components, by three mirrors which direct the coloured light to 3 separate LCD panels. The 3 LCD panels cast the elements of the image by processing each pixel on and off. The pixels are then combined in a glass prism to create the projector image. A point to know about LCD projectors is that all three colours are sent onto your projector screen all at the same time. The way a DLP projector operates is totally different and even the produced image appears is not the same. With DLP, white light from the lamp is directed through a turning colour wheel with transparent red, blue and green segments, at speeds up to 11,000 rpm/s. This way of making an image casts a sequence of red, blue and green light. The millions of micro mirrors mentioned above reflect the coloured light on the pixels to form the image elements. The elements of the image are sent in sequence on the screen, one colour at a time. The viewer&#8217;s eyes will then pull together each coloured element of the image into a whole image. From LCD projectors, all colours are available all the time to deliver top brightness and superb colour accuracy. In DLP, only one colour is available at a time, and so causing lower colour brightness and accuracy. Some DLP manufacturers have put a white segment in the colour wheel to improve general brightness, but this also damages colour accuracy.</p>
<p>I hear in forums all the time that DLP has a higher contrast ratio and as such must be superior. For those who don&#8217;t know, the contrast ratio is a measure of a display system defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest white to that of the darkest black that the system is able to produce. DLP projectors do have high contrast specifications when compared to the majority of LCD projectors. Initially, this can seem to be an advantage, however, in real life, the true black level is determined by the ambient light in the room when the projector is being used. Do not be tricked by contrast specifications on websites and in brochures.</p>
<p>When the content you want to view requires moving images, DLP projection technology can also have image errors, or ‘artifacts’. The most common artifact that a DLP projector displays with moving images is colour break up. Colour break up is inherent in DLP systems because moving images change position between the time red, blue and green colours are shone. LCD projectors do not have this characteristic because the colours are projected at once. DLP builders have formed 3DLP solutions using 3 chips to solve the colour break up artifacts, but the expense of these projectors make them impractical for most businesses and consumers.</p>
<p>Another point of difference between LCD and DLP is how they match the balance for the refractive qualities of light. Take yourself back to high school science, and they taught you how various colours of light refract various amounts when directed through the same lens. The problem with DLP projectors is that they utilise the one same panel and the same lens to project Red, Blue and Green. All 3 colours are obviously different and refract light in different ways. Most of the time with a DLP projector, some yellow colour will come up above and some blue will come through below an image containing something as simple as a single black line. During manufacturing LCD projectors can be adjusted to take away these effects on the projected image, as each colour is directed on separate LCD panels.</p>
<p>The only actual benefit (excluding price) with taking a DLP projector is its overall smaller size and weight. However, this is only relevant in regard to transport and has to be traded off against the image benefits of LCD projectors. If the result of the picture quality is important to you, then the choice is a no-brainer. Go for an LCD projector! LCD projectors will consistently make bright, colourful images with fewer image mistakes. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As the Dutch rose to preeminence in sea power during the 17th century, the initial yacht was a leisure craft used first by royalty and secondly by the burghers in the canals and the protected and unprotected waters of the Low Countries. Yacht racing was incidental, coming out of private games. English yachting originated with King Charles II of England during his exile in the Low Countries. On his reaffirmation to the English monarchy in 1660, the city of Amsterdam sent him a 20-metre (66-foot) leisure boat with a beam (maximum width) of 5.6 m (18 feet), which he called Mary. Charles and his brother James, the duke of York (James II, ruled 1685–88), made other yachts and in 1662 raced two of them from the Thames, from Greenwich, to Gravesend, and returning, on a Â£100 bet. Yachting became fashionable for the wealthy and nobility, but after that time the fashion did not last.</p>
<p>The first yacht group in the British Isles, the Water Club, was instigated at about 1720 at Cork, Ire., as a cruising and unofficial coast guard association, and held large naval panoply and rigour. The closest thing to racing was the “chase,” for which the “fleet” pursued an imaginary enemy. The club endured, largely as a social club, until 1765, and in 1828, when merging with other clubs, it was known as the Cork Yacht Club (later the Royal Cork Yacht Club).</p>
<p>Yacht racing was seen in some ordered fashion on the Thames about the mid-18th century. The duke of Cumberland instigated the Cumberland Fleet for Thames racing in 1775. When George IV rose to the throne in 1820, it was then named the Fleet to His Majesty&#8217;s Coronation Sailing Society. The Thames Yacht Club seceded with a racing fight, to become the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 1830. The first English yacht club had been initiated at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1815, and royal funding made the Solent &#8211; the strait between the mainland and the Isle of Wight &#8211; the continued location of British yachting. The club at Cowes became the Royal Yachting Club, likewise at the ascension of George IV. Each member was required to own boats of at least 20 tons (20,321 kg). Sailing tests for large bets were held, and the social life was lovely. Ultimately Royal Yachting Club boats were raised in size to over 350 tons.</p>
<p>In North America, yachting was first accomplished with the Dutch in New York in the 17th century and went on when the English took control. Sailing was mostly for fun and found its epitome in George Crowinshield&#8217;s Cleopatra&#8217;s Barge (1815), which traveled on the Mediterranean Sea and created a minimum of luxury and elegance for the later yachts in those waters from the late 19th century. The first continuing American yacht group, the Detroit Boat Club, was instigated in 1839. In 1844, John C. Stevens founded the New York Yacht Club while on board his schooner Gimcrack.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of sailboats<br /></strong>The first sailing yachts were within the lines of such naval craft as brigantines, schooners, and cutters from the 17th century through to the later half of the 19th century. The style of large yachts was originally heavily affected by the success of America, which was drawn by George Steers for a syndicate headed by John C. Stevens, and it was the boat for which the America&#8217;s Cup (q.v.) found its namesake after its success at Cowes in 1851. Earlier yachts were not designed and built in the modern sense, with only a model for an outline. Not until the latter half of the 19th century did what was called naval architecture come into action. Not until the 1920s did the application of the study of aerodynamics do for the design of sails and rigging what such science had previously done for hulls.</p>
<p>Because nearly all sailboats had to be individually custom-built, there came a requirement for handicapping boats previous to the one-design class boats were built. Therefore, a rating rule was created, which is found in the International Rule, accepted in 1906 and edited in 1919. In the present day, one of the fastest growing areas in the sailing industry is that of one-design class boats. All boats in a one-design class are manufactured to standard requirements in length, beam, sail area, and other areas (for an example of a two-person sailboat, see illustration). Racing such boats can be done on an even basis with no handicapping at all. A great example is the generic International America&#8217;s Cup Class adopted for participants in the 1992 America&#8217;s Cup race.</p>
<p>As long as yachting belonged mostly for the nobility and the wealthy, expense was no object, and the size of boats increased, in both length and weight. The rise and popularity of smaller boats came in the later half of the 19th century in the sailing of the Englishmen R.T. McMullen, a stockbroker, and E.F. Knight, a barrister and journalist. A voyage around the world (1895–98) led single-handedly by the naturalized American captain Joshua Slocum in the 11.3-metre Spray made plain the hardiness of less sizeable boats. Thereafter in the 20th century, notably after World War II, smaller racing and leisure yachts became more popular, down to the dinghy, a popular training boat, of 3.7 m. In the late 20th century, boats of less than 3 m were setting sail single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of power yachts<br /></strong>Post the decade 1840–50, at which point steam started to replace sail power in market craft, the steam engine, and later the internal-combustion engine, were employed more and more in leisure boats. Bigger power yachts were progressed to a high standard, and long-distance sailing became a favoured pastime of the rich. The earliest power yachts were paddle-wheel boats; those then gave way to yachts powered by the wholly submerged screw or propeller sort of propulsion. As well as naval and merchant yachts, auxiliaries with both sail and power were the yacht archetype for several years. By the latter half of the 20th century, a lot of yachts were still auxiliaries, but the majority were exclusively power yachts with gasoline or diesel engines.</p>
<p>In the last decade of the 19th century there was a rise in the manufacture of bigger steam yachts. Conspicuous among these was the Mayflower (1897) of 2,690 tons, with triple-expansion engines, twin screws, and a compartmented iron hull, and was operated by a crew of more than 150. The Mayflower, bought by the United States Navy in 1898, was the official yacht of the president of the United States until 1929 and saw active service in World War II.</p>
<p>As more sizeable and more reliable internal-combustion engines were created, many bigger yachts started using them for power. The creation of the diesel engine, employing heavy oil for fuel, progressed in World War I. In the decade following, large power-yacht manufacture grew, hitting a climax in the Orion (1930) at 3,097 tons. In that point the largest auxiliary yacht built was the four-masted, steel, barque-rigged Sea Cloud (1931) of 2,323 tons.</p>
<p>The construction of larger power craft declined in 1932, and the fashion thereafter was toward smaller, less expensive craft. After World War II, lots of small naval boats were sold to private owners for conversion to yachts. At the late 20th century, yachting has become a globally popular activity enjoyed by thousands of yachtsmen individually owning and maintaining their own small pleasure craft. The number of yachts and yachtsmen has increased steadily, not only in the traditional locations by the seacoasts but also on inland waterways and lakes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Taxes are differentiated by the effect they have on the allocation of income and wealth. A proportional tax is a kind that puts the same relative onus on all the taxpayers—i.e., where tax liability and income grow in equal scale. A progressive tax is recognisable by a greater than proportional increase in the tax onus relative to the growth in income, and a regressive tax is recognisable by a less than proportional increase in the comparative burden. So, progressive taxes are thought of as removing the lack of equality in income distribution, while regressive taxes may cause an increase in these inequalities.</p>
<p>The taxes that are often believed to be progressive include individual income taxes and estate taxes. Income taxes that are initially progressive, however, could become less so within the upper-income categories—especially if a taxpayer is allowed to reduce his tax base by nominating deductions or by excluding particular income parts from his taxable income. Proportional tax rates that are applied to lower-income groups will also be more progressive if exemptions of a personal nature are made.</p>
<p>Income measured over the course of a given year may not definitely offer the most accurate measure of taxpaying ability. For example, transitory growth in income can be saved, and within temporary declines in income a taxpayer might opt to provide for consumption by reducing savings. Ergo, if taxation is held in comparison alongside “permanent income,” it can be less regressive (or more progressive) than when made comparable with annual income.</p>
<p>Sales taxes and excises (with the exception of luxuries) are generally regressive, because the spread of one&#8217;s income consumed or spent on a specific good decreases as the amount of personal income grows. Poll taxes (also called head taxes), calculated as a set amount per capita, clearly are regressive.</p>
<p>It is complicated to term corporate income taxes and taxes on business as progressive, regressive, or proportionate, principally due to the uncertainty regarding the ability of businesses to shift their tax expenses (see below Shifting and incidence). This difficulty of deciding who bears the tax burden is dependant essentially on whether a national or a subnational (that is, provincial or state) tax is being determined.</p>
<p>In considering the economic purposes of taxation, it is essential to differentiate between several points of tax rates. The statutory rates are specified in law; usually these are marginal rates, but occasionally they are mean rates. Marginal income tax rates note the fraction of incremental income taken by taxation when income grows by one dollar. Ergo, if tax burden grows by 45 cents when income grows by one dollar, the marginal tax rate is 45 percent.
